Songs of Chu

A collection of poems based on the works of Qu Yuan, a poet of the Chu State during the Warring States Period. It includes Qu Yuan's masterpieces such as "Li Sao", "Nine Songs", "Heavenly Questions" and "Nine Chapters", as well as works by Song Yu, Jing Cha and others. Using Chu dialect and scenery, with magnificent imagination and unrestrained emotions, it pioneered Chinese romantic literature and expressed the pursuit of ideals, worries about the country and resentment of personal encounters.
