Genre: post-apocalyptic road survival / Sequence superpowers / mysterious horror power progression
The uncanny has descended, cities have become forbidden zones, and humanity is forced to migrate in search of survival. Li Tian’s convoy relies on Sequence superhumans to cling to life, but they are ambushed by aberrants in a small-town supermarket. At the brink of life and death, he awakens the [Mechanical Adapter] Sequence. A rusty wrench transforms into a mech arm, shield, and chainsaw, allowing him to stand against uncanny forces.
The guide Zhao Chong, the martial monk Lin Hu, the pugilist Li Long, and the Spear Immortal Lin Ruoqing fight shoulder to shoulder with their fellow Sequence users, only to discover that the uncanny clings like a parasite: residential buildings that restore themselves, tides of aberrant faces, and ghost-face domains that devour Sequence users... Every step of their escape is a gamble with death against the “uncannily unkillable.”
When a rusty bicycle can evolve into an armored battle vehicle and a tattered tent can become a mobile fortress, Li Tian uses his Sequence upgrade System to plunder supplies at a frantic pace as the convoy migrates: water purification systems, ecological farms, modified weapons... Yet he has no idea that the uncanny abyss is watching the light of his Sequence.
Will he become the master of a mechanical tide, or be assimilated by the source of the uncanny? The convoy flees through the fog, and the Sequence users fight for their lives, but the true endgame has only just begun: every Sequence user is a pawn, and every escape is merely part of the uncanny’s hunt...
