Honkai: The Weng Star Starts Over, but I’m No Savior

“Always a mad, truth-obsessed Daoist, gazing up and down to question Yin and Yang, Heaven and Earth...”

After the war that wiped out their clan, the Demon Spirits managed to withstand the impact of the Forbidden Sea, but the reincarnation formation was shattered, and every newborn Demon Spirit lost the path to immortality...

Ling Chen was the only one who survived to the age when the new generation was fated to die, sustained by sheer willpower. He was destined to bear far too many hopes that should never have been placed on him. He knew that if he died, the extinction of the Demon Spirits’ future would become a certainty.

“Why does everyone have to cling to that damn mission? We could have explored new worlds and roamed the universe, but a world that has never given us anything in return has nailed us to this gallows...”

The little Demon Spirit dragged his battered body away from home and quietly vanished into the long, desperate river of time. He wanted to see whether the world called Teyvat was really worth their sacrifice. If it wasn’t, he would make them taste the burden of this mission that had weighed on them for tens of thousands of years.

But what the little Demon Spirit didn’t know was that he had merely leapt, willingly and inevitably, from a small chessboard onto a far larger one...

“Damn you, Aha!”

“Hey, hey, don’t get mad, Ling Chen. It turns out you and I are kindred spirits. We have to stick together and break this damned fate, hahaha!”

Ling Chen looked at the tangled web of romantic debts that had somehow appeared in his life, and fell silent.

“Maybe this isn’t so bad?”

The full outline is ready, and there’s a generous backlog of chapters. If you’re interested, add it to your library. I’ll start releasing chapters in a flurry once it gets a recommendation.

The protagonist is mature and level-headed. I promise he won’t be childish.

As for the heroine... we’ll see how things go.
