Shocking! The Ancients Follow Immortal Fantasy Dramas on the Sky Screen

A colossal, gleaming “sky screen” appeared without warning above the skies of every dynasty, from the Great Qin and the Flourishing Tang to the Great Song and the Great Ming!

The ancients craned their necks in bewilderment. Was it a stage for the immortals, or a glazed roof tile blown off the home of some wealthy Zhang family?

Before they could figure it out, the “stage” lit up! What appeared on it left the First Emperor of the Ages, Ying Zheng, slapping his thigh with envy: “Build me one of those iron horses! The kind that can fly!” It made the Neo-Confucian master Zhu Xi tremble with rage, his beard quivering: “Indecent and immoral! What kind of conduct is this?” It had the people of Chang’an’s West Market staring, munching on melon seeds: “Even the immortals get stuck in traffic when they go shopping?” And it turned Lu Xiaohu, a young teahouse attendant, into a “sky screen expert,” excitedly explaining the “Flying Laughing Buddha” and the “Clang-Clang Kung Fu”!

Cola became “bubbling immortal medicine,” skyscrapers became “glazed palaces in the heavens,” airplanes became “great iron bird steeds,” and the sight of girls in T-shirts and shorts made the entire imperial palace in Bianliang blush... Every detail of modern life became, to the ancients, a bizarre and hilarious “immortal lifestyle.”

Then the miraculous sky screen displayed a preview: “Tomorrow, at a quarter past seven in the morning: The Legend of Sword and Fairy! We’ll be waiting for you!” All of history erupted! Set out your little stools, get the melon seeds and tea ready, and let the uproarious, time-spanning “immortals’ binge-watching party” begin! It’s a riot that’ll leave you laughing until your abs hurt!

Watch emperors of every age compete over “sword-flying techniques,” wandering heroes imitate “Li Xiaoyao” and end up making fools of themselves, and ordinary folk argue over who’s prettier, “Ling’er” or “Yueru”... The ancients’ daily joys of watching dramas will turn your expectations upside down! Beneath the sky screen, history gets “spoiled
