In his thirties, Chu Tang had accomplished nothing. After an argument with his girlfriend over the bride price ended in a breakup, he was walking alone when a speeding car hit and killed him.
Carrying his regret and resentment, Chu Tang returned to the night he was eighteen, after the college entrance exams, when his confession had been rejected.
The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was the campus belle he’d liked for years, standing right in front of him. This time, he didn’t bother with her. His only goal was to make money.
On the way home, he somehow ended up taking the school’s most adored girl to a hotel!
And so, he became friends with a sweet, slightly airheaded rich girl.
“Chu Tang, can friends touch each other’s legs?”
“Of course. That’s what all friends do.”
“Then can friends hold hands?”
“Of course friends should hold hands.”
“Then can friends kiss?”
“Well, there’s no law saying friends can’t kiss, so friends can kiss too.”
A few years later, Chu Tang looked down at the tiny child in his arms and sighed.
That was strange. Weren’t they just friends? Is this what you call a friend’s little bundle of joy?
