The protagonist Shen Ye is a night shift security guard at the city museum. He is introverted and withdrawn, but has extraordinary powers of observation and memory. He unexpectedly discovered that this seemingly ordinary museum was actually a special prison that secretly housed "weird objects" (ancient objects carrying supernatural powers). But now, these seals used to suppress the strange things are becoming invalid one by one. One after another, strange objects began to resurrect, and ominous auras escaped from the display cabinets, triggering a series of horrific events that cannot be explained by science. Shen Ye has no superpowers. His only weapons are his brain and his knowledge of every detail of the museum. He must rely on analysis, reasoning, and limited folk knowledge to find out the truth behind the seal's failure without alarming the outside world or causing panic, and find a way to "contain" the strange things before they completely get out of control. This process involved him in a secret organization that spanned hundreds of years and a huge conspiracy that was dusted by history. The highlight is that the protagonist, as an ordinary person, uses resourcefulness and courage to fight against the powerlessness and oppression of supernatural forces, as well as the progressive and interlocking suspense puzzles.
