This is a satisfying comeback story full of face-slapping moments, as well as a tale of two ordinary people saving each other.
Early on: [A plump, hopeless romantic who is good for nothing and easy to fool vs. a disfigured dancer who has endured inhuman treatment]
Later: [A gorgeous, badass designer and entertainment-industry mastermind vs. a top-tier star dancer and aloof movie star]
As livestreaming takes off, the story begins with the scumbag and the heroine having a streamer-and-top-fan relationship.
Lin Qian, a 200-pound design prodigy, is bullied at work because of her appearance. She is also tricked into taking out a loan of 1.2 million yuan to send gifts to a male streamer, and her mother's illness leaves her at her lowest point. Then she unlocks a mysterious System that grants generous rewards for completing missions.
To get revenge on the scumbag, Lin Qian uses the System's boost to shower He Sheng, a member of his group, with gifts and boost his numbers, turning him into a top-tier star. She becomes a legend in the livestreaming world, and all sorts of leading streamers come looking for her.
Completing System missions not only lets her pay off her debts and transform into a gorgeous, wealthy woman, but also gets her mother's illness treated.
Just as she fulfills all her wishes and prepares to travel the world and enjoy life, a top-tier star comes looking for her. Not only does he drag her onto a dating reality show, he also makes their relationship public.
