The New King of the Underworld Is a Little Confused

Zhang Wei, an ordinary office worker, unexpectedly died from overwork while working overtime. When he opened his eyes, he had transmigrated to the underworld, where the former King of Hell foisted the job on him, making him the new King of Hell before he knew what was happening. Faced with an underworld in utter disarray, where Meng Po simmered hotpot broth, jailers slacked off at work, the reincarnation platform kept sending people to the wrong lives, and evil ghosts could cause trouble at any moment, the completely inexperienced Zhang Wei had no choice but to grit his teeth and take the job. Using the modern office worker’s survival skills, he transformed the underworld: he got Meng Po a comfortable chair, arranged facility repairs for the reincarnation platform, and punished evil ghosts by banning card games. He even dared to stand up to the inspection team from the Heavenly Court. Amid the daily chaos, Zhang Wei gradually went from a helpless rookie King of Hell to the new master of the underworld, earning the trust of ghosts and the respect of the Heavenly Court. Along the way, he even gained a worried-for-him teammate, Wang Fugui, a kind ghost who had been reincarnated into the wrong life. This is a hilarious, wildly imaginative tale of underworld reform, following an office worker who uses a PowerPoint mindset to run the netherworld.
