In New Green City, happiness is a quantifiable commodity. The lifeblood of the city, "Heart Light", is purified from people's positive emotions by the giant enterprise "Eternal Glory". The light shines on the upper class elites, while forgetfulness and numbness settle at the bottom of the city.
