My Huangpu, 1924

I'm a complete newcomer who loves history.

A modern People's Liberation Army officer returns to 1924, a momentous era. He keeps company with the illustrious figures of history, forming friendships as classmates and bonds between teacher and student. From the crucible of Huangpu to the blood and fire of the Eastern Expedition, he weathers the smoke of the Northern Expedition. At the split between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, he embarks on a journey to study in Germany. He endures the hardships of returning home and the uncertainty of preparing for war, witnesses the smoke of battle in Shanghai and the bloodshed beneath Nanjing's walls, and survives the battles of Taierzhuang and the trials of Wuhan. He experiences the flames of war along the Nanxun Railway and the smoke of battle beneath Changsha. He is a fierce tiger on the Guangxi Southern battlefield and a mighty lion on the lands of Yunnan and Burma. He is a national hero, a renowned commander in the war against Japan. Amid the tides of history, what kind of life will he carve out for himself?
