Spring Is All the Better with Jiang Jiang

Marriage Before Love + Fallen noble house's orphaned daughter vs. aloof, proud and solitary court official + Revenge + Six-year age gap

Jiang Mei witnessed her entire family die horribly. Pretending to have lost her memory, she hid among her enemies and waited for the right moment to act. But her enemies were far more numerous than she had imagined, leaving her no choice but to return to the capital, Boling, and scheme her way forward through the storm.

Xie Xuanzhi was born into a noble family, but his father ruined its reputation. With marriage prospects looking bleak, he had intended to use his own efforts to help his family establish a firm foothold at court. But his uncle's connection to Jiang Mei drew him naturally into her affairs. Without giving it much thought, standing on the same side as Jiang Mei seemed like instinct.

The two were forced to marry before feelings had taken root. Gradually, Jiang Mei realized that Xie Xuanzhi showed his joys and sorrows only to her, while everyone else called Lord Xie an aloof and proud man. As they joined hands and fought their way toward the very summit of power, they found in each other a love that was true, along with friendship and faith.

Their path was strewn with thorns, but they walked it hand in hand, until spring finally came.
