When Chu Nanqiu turned twenty, the Chu family brought him back from his maternal grandfather's home in the countryside for one reason only: to marry him off for a political alliance.
He sneered. So now they remembered their inconvenient son? If they thought he would obediently do as they said, they could forget it.
He flipped the switch and went on a rampage: beating up his stupid stepbrother, putting the clueless servants in their place, blasting his venomous stepmother, and infuriating his useless father. His sole aim was to make sure nobody had a good time, turning the household upside down.
He swore he would ruin this marriage alliance!
What? His intended didn't like him?
That was hilarious. He didn't like that phony, either.
Everyone said he was ungrateful. A bastard son marrying into a wealthy family was a blessing earned over several lifetimes, so he should stop making trouble.

But no one could have imagined that one day, Fifth Master Fu Hanzheng of the Fu family, the cold-faced King of Hell, would be so smitten with a sharp-tongued little menace that he lost all sense. He would personally call off the marriage alliance between their families, then proudly bring Chu Nanqiu home and treat him like royalty.
A little scene:
“Mr. Fu, your little troublemaker just cracked someone's head open.”
Fu Hanzheng: “My wife is amazing. No wonder he's mine.”
“Fifth Master Fu, your little troublemaker made someone cry.”
Fu Hanzheng: “Got a problem with that? Chu Nanqiu is under my protection. Got it?”
Everyone: “It's over. Mr. Fu has fallen hard!”
