Burning Away a Long-Held Grudge, Returning to Wanning

After Mo Ran experiences an earlier tragic turning point, such as the first time Chu Wanning is gravely wounded and nearly dies saving him, rather than the final tragedy, he is reborn at the beginning of his youth, when he first became Chu Wanning's disciple. Carrying the profound knowledge of his master's silent devotion and sacrifices in his previous life, along with an even deeper sense of guilt, he resolves to change their fate at any cost. But he discovers that he never truly understood his master. Beneath Chu Wanning's icy exterior lies a far more painful past and more fragile emotions. Mo Ran's excessive attempts to make amends and his cautious efforts to get closer only touch off Chu Wanning's sensitive nerves and buried trauma. As they navigate tests, misunderstandings, protection, and self-sacrifice together, they confront fate and conspiracy, gradually uncover deeper truths, and find salvation in one another.
