He Yuzhu, the honest, thickheaded cook whom everyone calls “Silly Zhu” in Love in the Courtyard, is suddenly reborn and unexpectedly unlocks a mysterious System for fortune-telling with the I Ching.
When he first gets the System, Silly Zhu looks at the familiar courtyard, now rife with schemes, his gaze full of mixed emotions. The days when his neighbors exploited and manipulated him flash through his mind like scenes from a film. Now that he has the I Ching fortune-telling System, Silly Zhu decides to stop drifting through life. He will begin a very different journey, using divination to punish evil and uphold justice among the courtyard residents.
The courtyard is home to Yi Zhonghai, the respected First Master who is shrewd beneath the surface and always has his own agenda; the Qin Huairu family, who spend their days whining about being poor and leeching off Silly Zhu; and Xu Damao, who loves spreading rumors and holds a grudge over every little thing... Silly Zhu uses the I Ching System to tell the fortunes of each of them. Their good and evil are laid bare in the hexagrams. He no longer turns a blind eye or shows mercy to those who are malicious and have done countless wrongs. Using the information provided by the System, he cleverly exposes one person’s ugly true face after another, leaving their plots and schemes nowhere to hide.
Beyond the courtyard, there is never a dull moment at the steelworks where Silly Zhu works. The factory is full of all kinds of people, from kind, down-to-earth coworkers to villains who sabotage others behind their backs. In his spare time, Silly Zhu uses the I Ching System to guide coworkers facing difficulties, while making sure those who try to pull dirty tricks behind the scenes get what they deserve.
After carrying out one “fortune-telling operation” after another in the courtyard and at the steelworks, Silly Zhu’s name gradually spreads.
I have read so many Siheyuan books and I really can't understand what this one is about.
When I saw Chapter 11, there was a fantasy, spells and spells came out. Sure enough, he was just hanging on to the courtyard and writing horror novels. It's just a bit chaotic. Xu Damao has been in prison and sentenced to ten years, and he can still face off against Silly Zhu in the courtyard.
