[Memory Is the Execution Ground · Truth Is the Original Sin]
In the Age of the Fogbound City, humanity has become a prisoner of memory.
A supernatural phenomenon known as the “Memory Mist” blankets the globe, altering people’s perceptions and erasing their pasts. Some use it to seize power; others are plunged into the abyss by it.
Former detective Lu Li bears the burden of a past that has been altered.
A tech tycoon’s suspicious death, disguised as a suicide, drags him into a whirlpool. The eerie mist core left at the scene and the dead man’s tightly clenched empty fist both point to a forbidden legend said to rewrite the world: “Mist Zero.”
Empath Su Jin can hear the wailing of memories.
The moment she touches the corpse, the dead man’s roar pierces her consciousness: “Betrayal! The key…” More terrifying still, in the memories of this cold, hard man, she glimpses something: amid the flames that consumed her childhood, the same symbol from the crime scene appears.
In a world where lies have become the law:
The black market sells memories, and the rich buy “perfect lives”;
The Bureau erases the truth, manipulating people in the name of order;
In the shadows, the “Mist Weavers” whisper, and inhuman commands reap souls;
And deep within ancient ruins, a being known as the “Dreamweaver” is dragging humanity toward its ultimate nightmare…
They must break free of memory’s deadly trap, even if it means burning the old world to the ground.
“What are you hiding in that clenched fist?” Lu Li pries open the dead man’s jaw. A bloodstained mist core glimmers faintly.
“Fire…” Su Jin presses a hand to her throbbing temple as the flames of childhood surge in Lu Li’s eyes. “And… they’re here!”
