An unknown phenomenon known as the "Crimson Fog" suddenly descends. The fog contains the power to warp reality and awakens dormant "Eerie Entities," including vengeful spirits, creations of ancient gods, and beings from strange rule-bound tales. They feed on human fear and life, and cannot be killed with conventional weapons. They can only be suppressed by specific "paranormal objects" or the abilities of "Awakened Ones."
