The Runaway Bride Chef: The Amnesiac Prince Won’t Leave Me Alone

(Food + sweet romance + political intrigue + slow-burn character growth)

I’m Mei Youyou, courtesy name Qiniang. At sixteen, I’m the seventh-ranked disciple of the Medicine King Valley on Baihua Mountain, and the head chef who cooks a different dish every day of the year for all 360 people in the valley. I live by two rules:

One: No matter how much my father tries to matchmake me, I’ll never marry!

Two: Anyone I save has to pay for treatment, even if he’s the emperor himself!

But right now, I’m clutching a half-dead, blood-soaked man in a snow cave that lets in the wind, shivering like a leaf.

The man’s fever made him mistake me for his mother, and he wiped his tears and snot all over me. Then, just when his fever finally started to break, the first thing he did upon waking was grab me by the throat?!

And the most absurd part? The jade pendant at his waist is so lustrous you can see your reflection in it, and the carving is so fine it looks embroidered! Tsk, a piece like this could buy half of Yunzhou. I don’t care what kind of immortal you are, I’m collecting this sky-high medical fee!

“Thank you for saving a life, and for teaching him… how to live like a human being.”
