The System told me to win over the CEO, but I gave up and landed his uncle instead. Now I outrank him!
Huo Hong was a modern-day office worker who had embraced lying flat. One day, she woke up in an old-fashioned angsty romance novel as the heroine’s wicked former best friend. In the original story, the heroine’s boyfriend eventually destroyed her family after she framed the heroine.
System: Your mission is to win over the male lead, Leng Mohan, and change your fate. Otherwise, you will die.
Huo Hong: “Okay, I’ll go find someone powerful to rely on… Wait, what year is it?”
System: Three months before the college entrance exams.
Huo Hong, devastated: “The male lead doesn’t even meet the heroine until college. I can’t even get near him right now! And I’m terrible at school!”
System: Host, please do your best.
Huo Hong, lying flat: “Forget it. Let the world end. I’ll just keep my head down for now.” Then one day, because she was nearsighted and it was raining, she got into the wrong car and plopped down in the front seat of the male lead’s uncle, Shen Yan.
Shen Yan was a cold, abstinent psychiatrist and the elder the male lead respected most.
Huo Hong had a flash of inspiration. “If I can’t win over the male lead, I can go for his uncle instead, right? Respect and love are both love!”
And so began the most ridiculous courtship in history. She pretended to be sick to get his attention: “Dr. Shen, I have a heartache only you can cure!” (Shen Yan: “The consultation fee is 500.”)
She bombarded him with cheesy pickup lines: “What’s your blood type?” “…” “No, you’re my type!” (Shen Yan read the message and didn’t reply.)
She forced a chance encounter by staking out his psychiatric clinic, only to be caught by Shen Yao. “...What are you doing here?” (Huo Hong: “I-I’m here to ask about academic stress!”)
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,, yeah, oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, w, okay, oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot... Wwwwwwwwwwwwww, the author lied to me to cry, why did it say BE in the end? I thought it was HE, but it turned out to be BE.
A very nice book, but the relationship is too sad. The farthest distance in the world is parallel time and space. A relationship is just a fantasy, a dream and an empty one. The heroine Hong Hong did not get the happy ending she wanted most, and she was a little sad 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺
It turned out to be just self-salvation, and the lack of a happy ending in the end was very touching. I happened to read something about vegetative brain waves and awakening after a few years, which made me even more touched.
Well written. I thought it was a sweet story, but it turned out to be a heroine. The ending is unexpected and the twists and turns are very smooth. I am very optimistic about you. This book is well written and this framework is going to be popular. Don't make a drama out of this book casually, for fear that you won't be able to capture the feeling you wrote. Think carefully. ❤️❤️
To clear things up a bit, the ending is be, but it's very interesting.
It's quite beautiful, just like reality. The two people's love is not worth the money, rice, oil and salt, and they eventually get divorced.
I feel like it's enough once I see the proposal, but it's a bit pessimistic when I look at it later.
It's nice to watch, but the ending is okay, okay, okay
It's all a dream, the ending is so sad 😢
Not a bad read
