Dawn City Falcon

The story follows criminal investigator Liu Zhiyuan as he solves cases amid a series of escalating events involving corruption and organized crime. It tells of the people’s police, who face danger, pressure from the powerful, and threats to their lives without fear or deference. They investigate a criminal gang and corruption cases to the bitter end, fighting a desperate battle against corrupt officials and criminal forces. Through the cases they solve, the story portrays the police oath to “be loyal to the country and the people,” showing how the people’s police never bow to the powerful or to criminal forces. A series of cases arising from a demolition dispute unfolds through a steadily advancing investigation, peeling back layer after layer until the forces involved emerge. Behind a beautiful public image lie countless dark dealings that cannot be brought into the open; beneath luxurious finery hides an ugly core. The arrogance of criminal forces is inseparable from the powerful protectors backing them. But The Breaking Dawn tells more than that. Its carefully woven plot incorporates stories that feel all too familiar from our own lives: demolition disputes, financial scams, P2P lending, beauty loans and nude loans, PUA, and reverse mortgages. It vividly portrays the tangled love and hatred between criminal forces and their protectors. Following the anti-crime storyline, the investigation exposes corruption among those in power. Rich details weave together into a narrative that delivers the classic triumph of good over evil. The story champions the spirit of the times, upholds “Party spirit,” and gives voice to the era’s central themes. It delves into the forces shaping the times, focuses on the fates of its characters, balances realism with artistic appeal, confronts social tensions, strengthens its social impact, and takes on the mission of its age, guiding audiences to distinguish beauty from ugliness and good from evil, and to embrace the values of aspiration and kindness.
