Is Miss Song Tearing Into Scumbags Again Today?

Song Ran catches her fiancé at a cafe, kissing her best friend like they can't get enough of each other.

At home, her mother is bragging about her future son-in-law: “He makes a million a year. That'll make all my old friends jealous!”

But all Song Ran can think about is the scumbag's betrayal. “Call off the engagement. We'll return the bride price.”

Her mother shrieks, “Have you lost your mind? Men like him are hard to find even with a lantern!”

Song Ran sneers. “I paid his tuition by working part-time. His promises were lies, and he's nothing but trash.”

“So what? Just put up with it and it'll blow over!” Her mother tries to grab her.

Song Ran slams the door and walks out, only to run into Xue Yao's umbrella on a rainy night.

He looks down at her. “Come with me. I'll teach you how to make those who betray you wish they were dead.”

Later, the scumbag goes bankrupt and begs for forgiveness.

Xue Yao wraps an arm around Song Ran and chuckles. “Darling, had enough fun?”

Nestled against him, Song Ran's gaze is icy. “This is just the beginning.”
