Surviving the Apocalypse by a Lonely Wilderness Lamp

This isn't a “feel-good power fantasy.” It's a blunt knife, slowly cutting open the question of how people in desperate circumstances can use the clumsiest means to grow fangs and hearts all over again. Rather than a story about how the poorest of the poor, with no golden finger, no superpowers, and no money, survive a disaster-ridden apocalypse, it's really about the mutual reliance between people and dogs in the end times. When real disaster strikes, how many golden fingers can there be? The world has far more poor people than anyone else.
