Beiming Han, the God of War of the Tiansheng Dynasty, earns the emperor’s suspicion by becoming too powerful. The foolish emperor not only lets his men abuse Beiming Han’s wife until she dies, but is even willing to bring down his own kingdom, secretly colluding with the enemy. First, he pretends to lose a battle to lure Beiming Han into pursuit. Then, before the final battle, he sends him a cup of wine from a thousand miles away, laced with Power-Scattering Powder, calling it an “early victory toast.”
After Beiming Han and his soldiers drink it, their internal energy vanishes instantly. Just then, the emperor orders his men to carry in an ice coffin. Inside lies a woman in torn clothes, covered in wounds, her eyes wide open and one hand clutching a silk handkerchief. Beiming Han recognizes it: it was a birthday gift to his wife, Xue’er, from his sixth nephew, Beiming Che.
“Ninth Brother,” the emperor says with a smug smile, “your wife may be a little fiery, but she certainly tastes good. I and all my ministers have ‘sampled’ her, hahaha…”
Beiming Han’s eyes bulge with rage. Grief and fury burn through him, and he longs to leap forward and tear the beasts apart! But the drug has taken full effect, and even standing is a struggle. Seeing this, the emperor retreats several steps in triumph and orders his men to carry the ice coffin away as well.
The next moment, a million enemy troops surge toward them like a tidal wave, surrounding them on all sides. Beiming Han ultimately dies pierced by countless arrows. With his last breath, he clutches a bloodstained pouch to his chest. It is the only keepsake his wife left him, containing her portrait and a good-luck charm for his safety.
Summoning the last of his strength, he murmurs, “Xue’er, I failed to protect you in this life, and failed to avenge you. It was my fault… If there is another life, I will carve a path through blood for you and keep you safe for the rest of your days!”
It's quite good. At first I thought it was too descriptive, but the further I read, the more interesting it became. Fortunately, I wasn't disappointed.
It's pretty good at the moment It's good, but I'm not very satisfied with the beginning. I sympathize with Xue'er. Overall good.
A book worth reading!
Five-star review, wonderful novel
The atmosphere rendering is very detailed, but a bit much
The debt I owe is that my previous life was too miserable. . . There are also violent scenes that scare me!
I really like the author's writing style, there is no unnecessary nonsense, the male and female protagonists are not bad-hearted, and the ending is happy and beautiful [Blow kiss]
It's very interesting. The more you read, the more exciting it becomes. Please give it a try and update it ❤️ ❤️ I finally finished chasing it. Overall, it's really good. The male and female protagonists are not bad and kind, and I felt happy watching it ❤️ ❤️
