After transmigrating into the body of a masked guard serving a tyrant, Jiang Cai just wants to survive. The System’s mission is even more outrageous.
Make the mad emperor in front of him fall for him?
Does he have a death wish?
The tyrant Mo Chan is the emperor of Jin, a ruler whose name makes the whole kingdom tremble.
His only tenderness was buried in the spring rain with Chancellor Shen Feng'an, who died of illness four years ago.
To seize a slim chance of survival, Jiang Cai is forced to take on a high-risk mission: deliberately provoke the emperor!
A flash of cold light, and the sword slices through the mask’s straps.
The bronze mask falls to the ground.
Time stands still.
The tyrant, who had been about to cut him to pieces just a moment ago, stares in shock. The bloodstained sword slips from his hand with a clatter.
The face looking up at him…
It’s exactly the same as Shen Feng'an’s, the man who died!
“Lan… Shan?” The emperor’s hoarse voice trembles with broken joy and disbelief.
Jiang Cai’s heart pounds like a drum. It’s over! Is this substitute storyline the road to survival, or a path into an even deeper hell? And why does a strange familiarity, and… heartache, stir deep within his soul at the sight of the tyrant’s unbearable pain?
Mad emperor x Substitute guard
The moonlight that never fades was me all along?!
(Please remember to check the comments when you read my stories. I’ll be dropping all kinds of wild spoilers!)
The writing is OK, but the main CPs in the first half and the second half are different. The first half mainly focuses on the emperor and Prime Minister Shen, and the latter turns to Xuan Ying and Jiang. Personally, I prefer the one with only one CP from the beginning to the end.
Nice! Although the front system makes me speechless, the main and secondary CPs in the back are very sweet. Big cheers for the author! Looking forward to the follow-up 😘😘
It's so nice to watch, the main CP is really flattering, the deputy CP is also really flattering, I'm really impressed 🥰
What's nice is that the system is hard to evaluate
The author's writing is very detailed and beautiful!!! They will be happy in the story, and we should be happy outside the story too!
