Buried in some ashes is an indestructible curse.
Antique restorer Lin Ke inherited the only intact relic from the ashes of a century-old bell tower fire - an ancient bronze bell engraved with inhuman characters. Repairing it is his professional instinct, but it is also the beginning of a nightmare.
The electronic clocks in the entire neighborhood were moving forward crazily, and life turned into a ticking countdown to death in his ears. In the basement where the oil lamp flickered, dozens of moments of his own future tragic death were silently staged in the shadows. What's even more terrifying is that every time the clock strikes midnight, Lin Ke is dragged into the cycle of purgatory for seven days before the fire in the bell tower. He witnessed the "hunger" of the clockkeeper feeding the ancient clock with blood. Every time he tried to change the past, the sores in reality deepened: the rescued person turned into a stiff mechanical doll, and the reflection in the mirror slowly changed with the smiling clockkeeper behind him.
In order to escape this seven-day eternal catastrophe, Lin Ke stole other people's time, but caused a "time abscess" - a homeless man solidified into a living sculpture of repeated death, and a newborn baby was embedded with strange rotating dials. The rusty gear sickle came through the air, and the "debt collector" in black robe came following the smell of time debt. In despair, Lin Ke set his lover as the only "anchor", but nailed her to the time rift: in reality, she was torn and disintegrated between aging and infantilization, and in the rift, she was endlessly dismembered and reassembled by debt collectors. Her severed hand was crawling in a pool of blood just to wind up the ancient clock that brought disaster for him.
