Myriad Worlds: I Have Too Many Subordinates, Whom Should I Send into Battle?

Yin Yuan, a socially anxious young man, accidentally transmigrates and becomes the head of the mercenary guild in Wulun City, one of the five cities of the New Southern Kingdom. In other words, he becomes the city lord.

This dilapidated city, which has “fallen five times in a single year,” is rife with danger.

The previous city lords all met their downfall through dereliction of duty, making the crisis even worse.

Yin Yuan awakens a summoning ability, calling forth forces such as the android YoRHa troops, the Yellow Turban Army, and the elite warriors of the Great Qin. He also gains the “Rescue the Emperor” talent for protection.

On one hand, Yin Yuan uses his summoned troops to repel the rebels, reclaim the city, and deal with the threat of the mysterious Purifiers organization;

on the other, he implements work-relief programs, hands out porridge, and wins the people’s support.

As his forces grow, he unlocks the troops’ “tech tree” and boosts their strength. Yin Yuan eventually defeats the rebels, brings displaced members of other races under his command, and gradually rebuilds the territory of the former Wulun Mercenary Guild headquarters. But new challenges arise, including resource shortages and neighboring powers trying to poach his people. In another world, he sets out on a path of rulership, wondering, “I have too many subordinates. Who should I send?”
