In Another World, Already Immortal

Wu Yuan bears the soul of someone from another world. Taking Daoist Zhenren’s words, “You do not belong to this world,” to heart, he was dragged out of a land strewn with the dead and swept into the currents of this world. He may behold all the mysteries of heaven and earth, but he must also experience the mortal world for himself. And so an immortal lowers his head and steps into the world of mortals.

There is no unified system or hierarchy of cultivation in this setting. Each sect and school has its own independent cultivation system. The protagonist is already considered a True Immortal when he descends the mountain, and is basically invincible. The story gets going in Chapter Two, so feel free to skip Chapter One if you find it boring.
