Crossing Over at Dusk

Hidden in a narrow alley in town is the Late Arrival Tavern. When the fog rises, its door disappears, leaving only the scents of wild mugwort and peach branches.

The peach branches beneath the eaves remember the tears of spirits, while mugwort leaves in the corner of the courtyard conceal human promises. Anyone harboring an obsession can find their way into the fog, whether to heal a scar or repay a debt.

When the white cat suddenly pricks up its ears, the story is about to begin. Look, the fog is growing thicker again. The wooden door creaks open, as if to say, “Come in. All things have a spirit, and if you’ve come, it must be fate.”
