Cast aside by the Taoist sect, he ignited the first holy flame talisman on London's Tower Bridge!
Chen Mo, grandson of the master of Daoshan, was sent away for "lack of talent." But while staying with his aunt in England, he awakened a talent for magic. After ten years in hiding, he can form Taoist thunder seals with his left hand to summon violet lightning from the heavens, while wielding a Hogwarts wand with his right to call forth holy flames from paradise. He's become the "forbidden dual cultivator" feared throughout the occult worlds of East and West!
When he returns to China to take over his grandfather's dilapidated pawnshop, he discovers that...
The pawnshop's display case holds a contract with the evil spirits of Fengdu, its basement suppresses a dragon vein contaminated by alchemy, and his grandfather's disappearance is tied to a [wager between the gods of East and West]!
"Taoist magic can't break a demon's contract? Then I'll tear it up with Merlin's forbidden spell!"
"Holy water can't exorcise a hundred-year-old jiangshi? Then I'll use Shangqing talismans and holy-light salt rounds to exorcise it by force!"
When a vampire prince covets the dragon energy of the Forbidden City, and the Xiangxi Corpse King awakens in league with the knights of hell, Chen Mo smiles at the pawnshop's entrance:
"New shop rules: Eastern evil spirits are exorcised by the pound; Western demons get a free soul-destruction package with every top-up!"
