Immortal Bones, Mortal Heart: A Conspiracy Across the Three Realms

Ninth Princess Yaozhen, the Queen Mother's most beloved daughter, broke the laws of Heaven by falling in love with a mortal general. She was forcibly taken back to the Celestial Court, leaving her infant son behind in the human world. Sixteen years later, after his adoptive mother is brutally killed, the young Zhou Tianci awakens the power to control fire and burns his enemies at the county magistrate's office to ashes, unaware that he is the “Son of Heaven's Wrath,” a taboo to all three realms.

Seeking his birth mother, Tianci takes up the Blazing Sword and fights his way through bloodshed, growing from an exiled youth into the “Fire God General.” To protect her beloved son, Ninth Princess secretly releases the waters of the Celestial River, causing a terrible disaster. Stripped of her immortal status, she is cast down to the mortal world. When mother and son are reunited, one is burdened by bloody vengeance and close to falling into demonic madness, while the other is white-haired and near death. Yet the moment they embrace, all three realms are moved.

The Ghost Emperor of the Netherworld seizes the opportunity to sow chaos and reveals the truth: the Queen Mother once allowed Tianci's birth father to die. When the Godslaying Spear pierces Tianci's chest, Ninth Princess trades her life for his, giving him the last of her immortal essence. At the bloody battle atop Kunlun, Tianci finally realizes he was born to face the calamity and save the world. But just as he ascends to become the ruler of all three realms, he discovers that his mother has nearly exhausted her life force repairing the rift in space and time...

This is the epic story of a mother and son, one immortal and one mortal, defying the laws of Heaven and the fate set for them.

It is the most passionate decade in Ninth Princess's three hundred years of a lonely, cold immortal life.

It is Tianci's journey from “abomination” to “savior,” though all he ever wants is to be the boy in his mother's arms.

As a new era begins, his mother, her once-black hair now white, mends his battle armor beneath a peach tree. The emperor, hailed as the God of War, kneels and whispers, “Mother, Tianci is home.”
