Modern poison doctor Su Dudu transmigrates into the past. She wakes up as Su Dudu, a concubine-born daughter of the prime minister’s household who is tormented by the principal wife and has been slowly poisoned. She immediately senses danger and sees through the “tonic” the principal wife sent her: it’s actually a deadly poison.
Just as she’s planning how to strike back, Prince Jing Xiao Che storms in with his men, claiming that the dregs from her courtyard made his horse ingest “Soul-Stealing Powder.” Su Dudu sees at once that the principal wife is framing her. When Xiao Che makes his demands, she insists that the principal wife kneel and kowtow and hand over her snow lotus balm. She even dares to joke with the cold-faced prince, revealing a cunning and courage utterly unlike those of the original owner of her body. Then she agrees to cure the prince’s prized horse, ready to use her own poison skills to navigate the turmoil of this strange ancient world.
