The Fear-Raising Handbook: She's a True Villainess

Shen Yuyi's life was destined to be extraordinary from the moment a bamboo skewer at an amusement park changed everything when she was five.

While other children could only cry when they were bullied, she already knew to defend herself in the most direct way possible.

Then, one day, amid the flames beneath a hotel mattress, a cold System bound itself to her: “Mission: harvest fear energy from evildoers.”

From then on, she became a walking fear-harvesting machine. In the dead of night at boarding school, the System's prompts rang out again and again, guiding her toward her next target.

Her family saw her as a monster and cast her out. A psychologist tried to fix her, unaware that she herself was the source of the darkness. The System called her the perfect Host; evildoers called her a demon who came to claim their lives. Only she knew she wasn't a bad person.

She was just “hungry” and wanted to “eat.”

When fear energy upgraded the System to its highest level, and her enhanced power was enough to overturn the world, she licked the bloodstain on her fingertip and looked at the next name on the list.

“Don't be afraid. It won't hurt at all, and it'll be over soon.”
