[Passionate action + high-octane thrills + a Nine Provinces setting + an unconventional god-slaying tale + an epic of heroes]
Where the starry firmament splits apart, the blood-jade marrow’s commandments spread from a nameless grave of the righteous, winding like living snakes around the spiritual veins of the Nine Lands. Those branded with ink carve monuments from their enemies’ bones and gouge out their own flesh to plaster the tombs. Those who burn themselves turn to ash, their cinders forming cracks in the starry firmament, as they bite the Ten Commandments of Revenge into the heroes’ spines:
Brand a name and devour the soul; cower from battle and feed the beasts; calculate every secret of heaven;
Build the moon from corpses; trade blood for new veins; burn yourself to feed the commandments.
Long ago, the Dark Abyss corrupted the Tenth Commandment, changing “Retreat into seclusion” to “Burn yourself.” Thus the blood cauldron became an eternal furnace of torment. Beneath the radiance of the twin moons, the heroes’ ashes seep into the cracks of the rampaging spiritual veins, while newly formed jade marrow devours those branded by the starry firmament. When a hero seals the battlefield with his broken body, the question shared by imperial bones and the stars echoes across the scorched earth: “Does the blood boil? Are the commandments fulfilled? Can the ashes become a moon of seclusion?” The spiritual veins wither at last, but the blood commandments endure: the human heart is the true mountain and sea that devours its master.
