We've Been at This for Ages, and You Call It a False Memory Killing Game?

An "accidental" car crash took everything from Xie Yun, including his identity. When he woke up to a blank slate, he found himself at Shanyi Hall, surrounded by the tech giant Mysteryland Technologies. They claimed that his way of repaying them for saving him was to immerse himself in puzzle-solving games and complete their challenges. More than that, they said, it was the best key to recovering his lost past.

...As Xie Yun struggles to survive in all kinds of bizarre virtual puzzles, he gradually gathers "fragments of real memories" while solving each challenge. He also begins to realize that this "rehabilitation" is itself one enormous puzzle, and that this so-called "sanctuary for humanity" and "sea of the mind" is more like a carefully constructed prison.

As his memories continue to return and he searches for the truth, Xie Yun draws ever closer to the day he finally solves the mystery...

(The beginning is a slow burn, establishing the characters, laying the groundwork, planting clues, and setting up the plot. The story gets more and more sci-fi as it goes on, so the early chapters focus more on description. If you feel the setup takes too long, you can start reading at Chapter 11. Also, ordinary scenes tend to be witty and humorous. Things only get tense when they should, and exciting when they should... I won't write something just to force a point across.)
