The Underworld Bureaucrat Is Still Working Hard to Save Ghosts Today

Qiang Li dies suddenly and wakes up as a civil servant in the Underworld.

Every day, she helps lingering souls resolve their obsessions and move on to the next life.

An old soldier from the war against Japan is looking for his comrades’ remains. A single mother can’t stop worrying about her child’s tuition.

There’s even a teenager who died by suicide after being cyberbullied, posting for help on the Underworld forum.

She thinks her daily work will amount to handing out bowls of Granny Meng’s soup.

Until she discovers that the Underworld’s reincarnation System is on the verge of collapse…

The souls unable to move on are turning into monsters fueled by resentment.

“To save them,” Granny Meng says, setting down her ladle, “we have to save the living world first.”
