The Anti-Japanese War Begins with the Battle of Songhu

In August 1937, Li Feng, a military enthusiast, accidentally traveled to the eve of the Songhu Battle and became a company commander of a certain unit of the National Army. Facing the brutal battle that was about to break out, he relied on modern military knowledge and understanding of history to quickly train the troops, use flexible tactics, and repeatedly inflict heavy losses on the Japanese troops in Zhabei, Luodian and other battlefields. Although he was unable to reverse the situation in Songhu, he successfully covered the retreat of friendly forces and preserved his strength. After the Nanjing Defense War broke out, Li Feng led his remaining troops to defend Purple Mountain, using tunnel warfare and sniper tactics to delay the Japanese attack and buy time for civilians to evacuate. After the fall of Nanjing, he fought behind enemy lines, formed a guerrilla detachment, destroyed the Japanese supply lines, and launched a surprise attack on the Japanese headquarters during the Battle of Xuzhou. During the Battle of Wuhan, he was promoted to battalion commander. He used the terrain to block attacks and repeatedly defeated Japanese encirclement and suppression campaigns. After the war, he was ordered to join the expeditionary force and go to fight in Burma. In the Battle of Ren'anqiang, he led his troops in a detour to rescue the British troops, and in the Battle of Tonggu, he used "elastic defense" to severely damage the Japanese troops, demonstrating the tenacity and wisdom of Chinese soldiers. From Songhu to Yunnan and Burma, Li Feng and his comrades used their blood to interpret the national integrity of "prefer to die rather than surrender". They may not be able to change the outcome of every battle, but they gather fire with glimmers of light and leave an indelible mark on the history of the War of Resistance.
