Gu Xianfan is a modern-day homebody who has just taken over a small convenience store and dreams of living a carefree life.
Qin Yueyao is a gifted, aloof immortal cultivator who seeks only the heartless Great Dao.
They should have been two parallel lines that would never meet, but a baffling exchange of souls forced them together.
When a homebody enters the immortal's body, he's forced to team up with an unreliable master and begin the hardcore research project “Making Pokemon from Scratch.”
When the immortal enters a mortal's shop, she undertakes a critical study of high-tech inventions like cola and instant noodles.
Their once peaceful lives (and cultivation) are thrown into complete chaos.
Seven days later, when they return to their own bodies and think it was all just a bizarre dream, the real trouble begins...
This is a laugh-out-loud adventure across two worlds, a lighthearted comedy about how a goofball homebody turns the cultivation world upside down, how an aloof immortal lets loose and embraces modern life, and how they eventually find a way to clean up each other's messes.
It's well written, and it's good to pass the time at first, but it starts to get interesting from the part about mortal bones.
