Su Xiaoxiao was an utterly ordinary college student. One night, she went to sleep and woke up with the ultimate transmigration-into-a-book package. Destination: a campus Mary Sue world overflowing with melodrama, The Love of Crystal Tears: The Ice-Cold Campus Hunk Spoils Her Rotten.
Role: the nameless lackey C trailing behind the wicked supporting female character, Lin Wanwan.
A System? There is one, but it doesn't work quite right. The heroine's diamond tears can get stuck in slow motion, the domineering CEO line "The weather's getting cold, time to bring down the Wang family" turns into "It's morning, let's eat some gossip," and plot points refresh according to sheer superstition.
Looking at the pile of walking setting bugs before her, Su Xiaoxiao decides to save herself and, while she's at it, save everyone else too:
She teaches Bai Liuli, the heroine with "diamond tears," how to fight back against emotional manipulation, and helps Lin Wanwan, the "wicked" supporting character, discover her hidden talent for pastry-making.
When the original male leads all come knocking to demand an explanation for why the plot has gone off the rails, Su Xiaoxiao calmly spreads her hands. "The world's such a mess. Why don't we start by learning to sort the trash?"
Then the System sounds a shrill alarm: [World line 99% corrupted... Forced formatting imminent...]
Su Xiaoxiao slams the table and leaps to her feet: Time to get out and start a business!
And so the story takes a sudden turn:
Shen Yichen, once an aloof and arrogant campus heartthrob, stands in the kitchen wearing a pink apron and kneading dough. "Xiaoxiao, is it... chewy enough like this?"
The yandere villain, Gu Yan, pushes up his gold-rimmed glasses and precisely calculates today's profits. "Xiaoxiao, we've exceeded our KPI. What reward would you like?"
The original heroine, Bai Liuli, holds her hand. At last, her tears are no longer diamonds, just warm drops of water. "Xiaoxiao, thank you for making us feel... like people, for the first time."
Su Xiaoxiao: I only wanted to stay alive. How did I end up becoming everyone's favorite and their life coach? These Mary Sue characters are such a handful to manage! (Though... maybe it's not so bad?)
