Transmigrated to 1937 as a Lieutenant General and Division Commander of a German-Equipped Army

He is a commander of an elite force, equipped and trained in the German style, yet he must fight a desperate, hopelessly uneven battle against the Japanese on Chinese soil. When the Battle of Shanghai breaks out, Zhang Dinghai, commander of a German-equipped division, becomes a key figure in the defense of the city.

From the bombardment at Wusongkou to the street fighting in Zhabei, from the lone defenders at Sihang Warehouse to the Suzhou Creek line, Zhang Dinghai’s cool tactical mind and iron-fisted command make the Japanese pay dearly for every step forward. But as the battle turns against them, he must face a brutal question: “Do we fight to the last man, or retreat to preserve our forces?”
