On the night when the Battle of Songhu broke out in 1937, Zhabei, Shanghai, fell into a sea of fire. Underground worker Chen Zhibai was carrying tinfoil fragments that recorded the core coordinates of the Japanese army's "Sakura Project" and fled during the explosion and pursuit. Inspector Fang Guoren of the patrol room was involved in the whirlpool when he rescued a woman whose identity was unknown, Gu Xiaoman (codenamed "Nightingale"), and witnessed her paying the tragic price of a broken arm and even her life on the operating table to protect the secret.
