[A Buddha of the Ghost Realm and a mortal demon]
During her time as Jin Dabao, Jiang Yin saved many people.
Her footsteps fell upon every inch of Cangnan, a nation ravaged by war. She also watched over Jia Luo Xue as he grew up in the Fan Hui Sacred Domain.
When Jin Dabao remembered that she was Jiang Yin, she realized that the turmoil and bloodshed in the mortal world were her doing.
At her lowest point, Jia Luo Xue met a kindhearted man who killed no one and saved everyone.
Though Jia Luo Xue looked down on him for it, she let her guard down around him.
Later, Jia Luo Xue fell in love with him. He planted a heartlinking love bug in her and insisted on keeping her by his side.
But she would sooner cut out a piece of her heart than stay. Someone just like her easily carried her unconscious body away, and Jia Luo Xue felt like a joke.
All Jia Luo Xue ever hoped for was to “grow old with you, sharing the bustle of the town and the rosy evening clouds, and make up for half a lifetime lost.” Sadly, the person he met was Jiang Yin. The person who saved him was Jiang Yin. The one who taught him about home and country was Jiang Yin. The one who taught him martial arts was Jiang Yin. And the mortal world was just one of the three thousand realms Jiang Yin had crossed to save.
A vast chasm separated the human realm from the four surrounding realms. Jia Luo Sheng descended into demonic cultivation in search of Jiang Yin.
If mortals cannot become immortals or spirits, they can still become ghosts or demons. Becoming a ghost would put one’s name in the Book of Life and Death. But he became a demon, while Jiang Yin dwelled in the Ghost Realm, upholding Buddhism, crossing the five realms, and destroying demons.
Count the years in the mortal world: chestnut cakes, peach blossom hairpins, and the rattling drum used to soothe little ones.
[PS: The characters aren’t perfect. The ending will probably be tragic, but it won’t be too angsty.]
