"Buddha Said: The Princess and I Have a Buddhist Destiny" takes Yu Wenyi and Yu Wenyue as the core characters, and unfolds the main story around their experiences in the troubled times from the Northern Zhou Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty. Yu Wenyi was originally a troubled prince who converted to Buddhism after being rescued by Buddhism. He was forced to return to secular life due to the movement to exterminate Buddhism in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and then entered an official career; Yu Wenyue, as a princess, has a secret mission to protect Buddhist classics.
