Owing the King of Hell a Hundred Million

To fund my startup, I borrowed from every online lender I could find. In the end, I even took out a loan from an app in the underworld.

I had barely finished filling out the form when a debt-collecting ghost showed up at my hospital bed, carrying a soul-summoning banner.

“Lord Yama says you have only three days left to live. Either pay up or work off your debt.”

I stared in despair at the death warrant. “How am I supposed to pay back a hundred million?”

The ghost grinned. “Easy. Help Lord Yama open a loan company in the mortal world.”

From then on, the human world had a financial giant specializing in “lifesaving loans.”

Until one day, I discovered that every customer had part of their lifespan taken when they repaid their debt.

And on my company’s ledger, it clearly said that Lord Yama owed me... 9,999 years of life.
