Deep in an alley in the old city, there's a shop that repairs antiques. It hides a strange young man who can “see obsessions.”
Inside an old qipao, the vengeful spirit of an embroiderer claws at the air with charred fingertips, weeping over the injustice of being burned alive;
In an antique clock from the Republic of China era, the hands are forever stuck at the moment a loved one died. Every time they move, black blood seeps out;
A baby spirit bound to a burial lock chases Chen Yan every night, crying, “Give me back my life force”...
Every time he repairs a “haunted object,” he has to fulfill the deceased's final wish. Otherwise, their obsession will tear him to shreds! But when Chen Yan uses his ability to “see obsessions” and follows clues hidden in old objects to uncover the truth behind the “Old Street Fire” from a century ago, he discovers to his horror:
Zhou Shenxing, who taught him how to restore antiques, planted a murderous curse in the haunted objects;
Old Wei, the shop assistant who has been his only companion, is descended from a survivor of the arson case;
Even his ancestral pocket watch is guiding him to become a “vessel for obsessions”...
This time, Chen Yan will turn his ability to repair haunted objects into a blade that cuts through the conspiracy! Even if the dark forces of Linzhou City hunt him down, he'll use the truth hidden in old objects to drag their filthy secrets into the sunlight!
