The day I became Chongzhen, Wei Zhongxian was forcing me to drink poison.
> The memories of a modern military engineering PhD exploded in my mind. I grabbed the cup and poured the poison down the old eunuch’s throat.
> While confiscating the mansion of the “Nine-Thousand-Year Lord,” I pointed at mountains of silver. “This is our startup capital.”
> The commander of the Imperial Guards knelt and presented a secret letter proving the Donglin faction’s collusion with the enemy. I circled more than half the names at court in vermilion ink. “At midnight tonight, kill them all.”
> When Li Zicheng’s forces reached the city, what he saw was no desperate, isolated fortress.
> Black cannon muzzles stood in grim rows atop the walls, and ranks of new flintlock troops stretched out like a forest.
> Steam engines roared in the workshops, while ironclad ships took shape in the harbor.
> I stood before the Hall of Supreme Harmony, looking down at the prostrate Western envoys. “Everywhere the sun and moon shine is Ming territory. This is no empty boast.”
> And on the globe beside the dragon throne, the borders of the Great Ming stretched toward distant lands not yet reached.
It's not as good as the original Chongzhen. I don't know why I wore it? No plot at all.
It's super beautiful. I recommend everyone to watch it.
