Reborn as a Tree: The Mythical World I Transformed

At twenty-five, Li Mu's brief life finally came to an end after a battle with leukemia. But in the instant his consciousness faded, he was reborn in a parallel ancient world, inhabiting an ancient tree that had survived disaster.

The tree had once been struck by lightning, then swept up in a flash flood and rolled down from the mountaintop. As if by fate, it unexpectedly blocked the floodwaters from reaching the village below and diverted their course, saving everyone in the village. It also took root and came back to life against all odds, earning the villagers' reverence as the Mountain God.

Just as this “Mountain God Tree” was running out of vitality, Li Mu's consciousness took up residence within it. From then on, an ancient tree bearing a human soul would continue its legend in another world.
