Teaching Assistant, Stop Chasing Him. He Doesn't Love You

[Devoted teaching assistant Zhao Yanci × Qiu Zhiyu, whose heart belongs to someone else]

[An acclaimed novel + secret crush + obsession + substitute + salvation + two male leads]

Zhao Yanci, the top student in his major at the Provincial Academy of Arts, returned to an art exam prep institute as a teaching assistant.

On his first day, he saw someone: Qiu Zhiyu, practicing his voice in front of a full-length mirror.

Sunlight gilded his profile, and his voice was as clear and mellow as a mountain stream.

Zhao's heart skipped a beat, but someone else was already by Qiu Zhiyu's side.

Suo Qingyan brought him milk tea, ruffled his hair, and put an arm around his shoulders.

Everyone in class knew they were a couple.

Zhao Yanci told himself: He was only a teaching assistant, only there to tutor him.

But somehow, the final page of his lesson plan filled up with the three characters of Qiu Zhiyu's name.

Unable to resist, he added Qiu Zhiyu on QQ and saw a post from three in the morning:

“If I jumped from here, would you turn around and look at me?”

The picture showed the railing on the institute's rooftop.

The one whose heart belonged to someone else was the one who made him fall.

At first, all he wanted was to watch over him in silence.

But later, he realized he had fallen far too deep already.

Even if someone else would always live in that person's heart, he still wanted to catch him, safe and sound, before he fell.

A story about obsession and salvation. One person treats love as documentary footage, another breathes by chasing after someone, and another learns to let go in the abyss.

True love isn't about “having” someone. It's about saying, “I'm here.”
