After a Botched Transmigration, I Wait for Li Er in the Mountains

By a twist of fate, Lei Feng obtains a mysterious ring left behind by Zhang Jiao. The ring contains a special power and a mission. According to the original plan, he was meant to shoulder Zhang Jiao’s unfulfilled ambitions and use the ring’s mysterious power to transmigrate through time to the chaotic yet hopeful end of the Eastern Han dynasty. There, he would step forward and use his wisdom and abilities to save the ordinary people suffering from war and hardship, bringing them a glimmer of light and hope. But fate is always full of unpredictable twists. At the crucial moment of his journey through time, something goes badly wrong. Like a ship blown off course, Lei Feng fails to arrive at the intended destination of the late Eastern Han and instead ends up in the final years of the Sui dynasty. Worse still, when he opens his eyes in this unfamiliar era, he discovers that he has become a child barely over four years old. Facing a completely strange and dangerous world, young Lei Feng knows how weak and helpless he is. After careful consideration, he makes a difficult decision: to hide deep in the mountains, where few people ever go. There, in the shadowy, silent forest, he conceals himself and cautiously avoids the turmoil and warfare beyond, patiently waiting for peace to return. He hopes that one day he can leave the mountains and resume the journey toward fulfilling his ambitions.
