The Rugged Soldier’s Groveling Road to Winning His Wife Back

Just as modern nutritionist Lin Chun dies suddenly from overwork, she unexpectedly transmigrates into a period novel and becomes the doomed cannon-fodder “Lin Chun,” a woman in an 1980s northern countryside whom the male lead takes in and who is destined to die young.

A dilapidated earthen house, a sharp-tongued, overbearing mother, days so lean there’s barely enough to eat, and a body weakened by illness: from the start, it’s hell mode.

But as a top nutritionist, how could she resign herself to following in a cannon-fodder character’s footsteps?

The portable space she accidentally activates has a patch of black soil no bigger than a palm, yet it holds the promise of new life. Then she hears the weak cries of a baby at the entrance to the village, an abandoned little one who will become her greatest concern.

With the space in one hand and a baby in the other, Lin Chun follows the rhythm of the times, using her modern knowledge of nutrition to improve their meals and strengthen their health, planting hope in the yellow earth.

She calmly handles the unreasonable demands of difficult relatives and carefully plans her way through every hardship.

From a “burden” everyone despises to raising a child and turning their little life into a poem, this cannon-fodder girl has some serious skills!
