Rivals and Accomplices

When the city descends into inexplicable mass madness and strange glowing veins appear across building facades, detective Zhang Wenshao discovers that it is all secretly connected to his graduation project from nineteen years ago. As he investigates, he is forced to ally with Su Jiangting, a cold-blooded and deadly clone assassin, who is also the “perfect creation” of the mastermind behind it all, tech magnate Zhou Shihong.

They discover that Zhou Shihong’s “Hive” System is using infrasound frequencies to erode the citizens’ minds, seeking to create a swarm society without individuals. The only key that can stop the apocalypse lies hidden in the painful genetic memories of a clone and the modified body of the scientist Lin Wei.

This is the ultimate showdown with a creator. With an old enemy as their only accomplice, the three must risk everything to tear through the darkness before their consciousness is completely consumed. The truth is far more terrifying than madness.
