Meng Yancheng, This Time I'll Come to You

Sang Zhi died the day Meng Yanchen fell in love with her.

A sacrifice in the marriage alliance between the Sang and Meng families, she and Meng Yanchen had been estranged from the very start. His heart belonged to his foster sister, Xu Qin, while she dutifully played the part of a well-bred heiress. Three years of marriage passed, and they were strangers beneath the same roof. Only after Xu Qin married someone else did he finally turn back to her, awkwardly learning how to treat her well: remembering that she hated cilantro, leaving a light on for her, and bringing her a bouquet of white roses on her birthday.

But this belated tenderness came to an end when Xu Qin returned with tears that were nothing but a sham. As Sang Zhi tumbled down the stairs, the last things she saw were the shattered crimson in Meng Yanchen’s eyes and the scalding tears he shed for the first time as he held her lifeless body.

“If there is another life…”

When she opened her eyes again, she was back on her wedding night. The bright red wedding characters stung her eyes. Beside her, the man still wore his suit, his expression indifferent to their marriage.

Sang Zhi took a deep breath. This time, she would not be the passive heiress of the Sang family, waiting for things to happen.

She would tear off Xu Qin’s hypocritical mask with her own hands, pull Meng Yanchen out of his twisted obsession, and make him understand that a sincere love had never left him, not since the day she married him.

Meng Yanchen, you were too late when you cried for me in my last life. This time, I’ll be the one to take one step after another toward you.

This time, we’ll have both love and redemption.
